OLD FASHIONED MASHED POTATOES 
8 med. potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/8"
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1/2-2/3 c. milk, divided
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper

Cook potatoes and onions in boiling water to cover, 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash. Add 1/2 cup milk and remaining ingredients. Add more milk if needed, for desired consistency.
