It is called a Dog Gone because the hot dog is gone. In its place put your favorite meat, cheese and onions, pepper, pickles, etc.

In a Dog Gone Razorback, ham is used. In a Dog Gone Bird, chicken is used. In a Dog Gone Fish, fish sticks or fish patties are used.
