APPLE WALNUT CAKE 
4 c. coarsely chopped apples
2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. oil vegetable
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Don't cook. Combine apples and sugar. Stir and let stand, stirring occasionally. Beat eggs slightly, beat in oil and vanilla. Sift soda, cinnamon and salt with flour. Stir in alternately with apple sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts. Pour into greased and floured pans. Makes two bread loaves. Mixture will not be thick but it is ok. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

SAUCE:

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 c. cream (can milk)

Heat slowly. Stir occasionally until slightly thick. Remove from heat and add 3 teaspoons vanilla and a dash of nutmeg.
