NANNY'S FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar (brown or white)
2 eggs
2 tbsp. whiskey or milk
1/3 c. jelly
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 pt. pecans
1/4 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. white raisins

Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs, jelly and whiskey (or milk). Dredge fruit with dry ingredients. Add to first mixture. Drop by teaspoons to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
