BEST BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. nuts (opt.)

Cream together butter, brown sugar, until well blended. Add eggs. Sift flour with soda, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet about 2 1/2" apart. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Should be lightly brown and barely firm to touch. When cool frost with burnt butter frosting.
