BOSTON BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. dried beans
6 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 lb. ham or pork (optional)

Wash beans. Pour water over beans in pot and soak 6 hours or overnight. (Or you may boil ten minutes and leave sit covered for 1 hour.) Drain beans, saving liquid.

Mix 1 cup of liquid with salt, molasses, dry mustard, brown sugar, onion and meat (optional).

In 4 quart slow cooker, combine drained beans with molasses mixture and cook on low 10-12 hours. Double recipe for 6 quart cooker.
