OVEN SWISS STEAK 
6 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lb. round steak, 1" thick
1 c. onion slices
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 clove garlic, grated (optional)

Combine flour, mustard and salt and pepper; rub into steak. Set aside. In a large skillet, saute onions in butter until clear, remove from pan. Add steak and brown on both sides.

Place in a 9 x 12 inch casserole and add onions, water and chili sauce, cover tightly. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender. If using electric skillet, prepare same as above and cook on low for 2 hours or until tender, turn often to prevent sticking (more water may need to be added). Serves 4.
