OVEN BARBECUED SWISS STEAK 
2 lb. round or chuck steak cut into serving size pieces
2 (8 oz.) cans (2 c.) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 med. onion

Combine 1/3 cup flour, a teaspoon salt and a 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Coat meat with this mixture and brown slowly on both sides in hot fat. Spoon off excess fat. Combine tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, Tabasco and pour over steak. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Add slices of onion over steaks. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
