BAR-B-QUED SPARE RIBS
4-5 lbs. country-style spare ribs

In saucepan double Bar-B-Q sauce recipe.

1/2 c. water
1 c. catsup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar (maybe 3 or 5 tbsp. more to suit taste)
5 tbsp. onion, chopped
Oil (if possible olive oil)

In a large pan full of water, add spare ribs; bring to a boil. Simmer for 5-8 minutes; drain water off in sink.

In large saucepan, add enough oil to saute chopped onions until cooked. Add rest of ingredients; mix well. Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Stir often. When boiling, turn heat down to simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, then ladle a thin layer of sauce on bottom of a 10x13 inch pan.

Put ribs in this pan on top of sauce, then pour enough sauce on ribs to cover generously. If any extra sauce, keep in pan to ladle extra over ribs when done for each serving. Cover pan with foil. Tuck around outside of pan as tight as possible. Bake in 325 degrees oven for 2 hours or until tender.
