CHEESE STRATA 
10 slices bread with the crusts cut off of it
4 eggs
8-10 sharp cheddar, grated
2 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tbsp. chopped onion

Use 9 x 9 inch pan. Grease casserole. Line with part of bread. Sprinkle first layer with grated cheese and then make another layer with bread. Combine the remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly and pour over the bread-cheese mixture. Let stand 1-6 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Cooked sausage can be added to the cheese layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until center is firm.
