2 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1/4 tbsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. water
1 tbsp. baking soda
3 c. flour

Take 1st 8 ingredients and boil for 15 minutes. Let cool and add last 3 ingredients and put in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
