YEAST HOT ROLLS 
6 c. sifted all purpose flour
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. scalded milk
1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 pkg. active dry yeast (50% faster rapid rise)

Scald milk; add shortening, salt, and sugar. Stir well. Cool to lukewarm.

Place the 1 1/4 cup lukewarm water in a 3 quart bowl and sprinkle yeast into the water. Stir until dissolved. After scalded milk mixture cools to lukewarm mix it with the water and yeast mixture. Add 1/2 of the flour and blend. Add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface until not sticky. Shape into balls on greased pan and let rise for approximately 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
