HOT YEAST ROLLS | |
2 c. boiling water 1 scant c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. salt 1 env. Fleischman's yeast 1 1/2-2 c. flour 1 stick butter Combine boiling water, sugar, butter and salt in a bowl. Let cool until lukewarm. Add package of yeast. Let dissolve, then add 1 1/2 cups of flour (or more) until spongy. Let rise to double in size, add more flour to make dough stiff enough to knead. Knead. Let rise again until double in size. Make out in rolls. Let rise double in size. Melt stick of butter in pan and butter all sides of roll before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 20-24 rolls. |
