DEN CHILI 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/4 tsp. ground or whole red peppers
1 tsp. ground oregano
1 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
2 tsp. garlic powder
6 oz. can tomato sauce
1 (#303) can chili beans
1/4 c. sugar

Brown meat in a large stock pot. Drain off excess water. Add oil, spices, sugar and tomato sauce. Simmer for 45 minutes. Add chili beans, simmer for additional 16 minutes and serve. Serves 4.

This is a "mild" chili. For additional heat, increase chili powder, cumin and red pepper.
