1 box strawberry Jello
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
1 qt. strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (9") pie shell, baked

Combine Jello, sugar and cornstarch. Add boiling water. Boil until mixture coats spoon, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from fire and add red food coloring. Let cool but not congeal. Place sliced strawberries in baked pie shell. Pour mixture over strawberries. Refrigerate until congealed. Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
