APPLE DREAM PIE 
4-5 apples, peeled & thinly sliced
3/4 - 1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 - 1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
Pastry for 2 crust pie
2 tbsp. butter

CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream

Combine sugar, flour, spices and a dash of salt. Mix with apples. Put mixture in pastry lined pie dish. Dot with butter; cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, make cream cheese topping. Combine eggs, sugar, lemon juice, water in saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Add softened cream cheese and sour cream to hot mixture. Beat smooth. Pour over pie. With remaining pie dough, cut out fancy shapes and place on cream cheese topping. Bake another 15 to 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Cool.
