TRADITIONAL LAYONNAISE POTATOES | |
3 tbsp. butter 1 lb. yellow onions, very thinly sliced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 1/2 lb. potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/4" thick 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper Paprika Minced fresh parsley Heat butter in 2 quart casserole dish on high until butter is melted (about 30 seconds). Add onion and garlic; stir to coat evenly. Cover and cook on high 15-20 minutes or until onion is lightly browned in spots, stirring once or twice. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, blend evenly. Cover and cook on high for 10 minutes. Stir thoroughly and continue until potatoes are fork tender about 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle with minced parsley. Serves 4. |
