Try adding a can of sauerkraut - I promise you it is delicious!

Donated this dish to a organization and nothing was left. People were asking for the sauce even when the meatballs were gone. I baked my meatballs in the oven first and then put them on low in the slow cooker with the sauce. Easy to make.

My family and friends rave about my take. In addition to the above, add half a cup of Hershey's chocolate syrup and dice up a single package of Twizzlers. Red Vines are good to because they're softer. And just a half a can of anchovies.

My mother used to make something like this only it was chili sauce and creme de menthe. I can't find the recipe. Does anyone remember this? I am pretty sure these were the only ingredients with meatballs.

I make my meatballs with chili sauce and grape jelly. I want to spice (hot) them up a little more. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can use?

Very easy and no mess. Men love this. I put it in a crockpot and its ready to go, the longer its in the sauce the better it gets.Stir often so sauce can get to all the meatballs.

I've never bought pre-made meatballs. Since I have a lot of beef and venison burger in the freezer, I make and freeze a large number of meatballs for recipes like this one. One of my favorite variations is one cup of salsa and one cup of sweet BBQ sauce (like Sweet Baby Ray's). I pour this mixture over the meatballs in a casserole dish and bake for an hour. Yummy!

I also use frozen meatballs and this is an office hit BUT I use one can of cranberry jelly sauce and one jar of chili sauce, one tablespoon of brown sugar and one tablespoon of lemon juice. I use my slow cooker and put everything in it at once and cook on low for several hours. I stir several times as it cooks. Delicious!

Served these over rice tonight. NO LEFTOVERS. I REPEAT, NO LEFTOVERS. To say that they were a big hit would be quite an understatement. I did divide the recipe into two zip lock bags and froze first. I'm testing some ideas for my family to cook while I'm away on a mission trip. I'll also serve as appetizers at my next party.

I have made these for years, but I'm thinking of adding a bag of cranberries to make it more Christmas-y. Thoughts?
