1 lb. butter 1 lb. sugar, about 2 1/4 c. 1 lb. flour, about 4 1/2 c. 10 eggs, separated 1/4 c. bourbon (this is a must) Beat egg whites; set aside. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add flour and bourbon. Add egg whites and beat three minutes (this is a must). Bake in two loaf pans at 275 degrees for about 2 hours. |
