PORTUGUESE EASTER BREAD 
3 cakes yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
12 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
3 c. sugar
12 eggs, well beaten
2 c. lukewarm milk
1 c. butter, melted

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and set aside. Sift flour and salt together into a large pan. Mix sugar and eggs with lukewarm milk. Add sugar and egg mixture to flour. Stir in yeast. Knead until mixture has consistency of bread dough. Add melted butter, kneading a little more and adding more flour as necessary. Cover and let rise until doubled.
