EASTER BREAD 
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm milk, scalded
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. warm water
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. diced Cheddar cheese

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar, salt, butter, eggs, and half of the flour. Beat 10 minutes on mixer. Add remaining flour; blend in with spoon until smooth. Cover and let rise in warm place until double. Pinch down; form flat ball. Knead in cheese. Form round ball. Place in greased 9-inch pie pan. Let rise until double, 1-2 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 30 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
