GRANDMOTHER'S STEAM BROWN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. raisins in 1 c. boiling water

Put in a bowl. Let set.

#2:
1 round c. flour
1 round c. cornmeal
1 round c. graham or rye flour
1 round tsp. baking soda
1 round tsp. salt

#3:

Add:

2 c. sour milk
Or 2 c. water
Or 1 c. water, 1 c. sweet milk

#4:

Put in 3 greased coffee cans. Cover with foil. Steam for 3 hours in large pot with cover. Place old face cloth under cans.
