1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. raisins
5 slices of fresh bread, buttered & cut up, remove crusts

Oil top of double boiler. Layer in the following order; brown sugar, raisins and then bread. Do not mix.

Mix the following: 2 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Pour over the top of bread. Do not mix. Steam in double boiler until set but slightly shaky. Invert while hot on a platter to serve.
