Could you substitute mandarin oranges with clementines?

Hi Maddie,

You should be able to, but you may need to add some extra honey or sugar and water to make up for the missing syrup.

I tweaked the recipe by using 2 cups of frozen strawberries, 2 cups of frozen raspberries, 1 cup of fresh blueberries, a few cubes of ice, 2 cups of skim milk and sugar to taste. My next attempt will be to substitute vanilla extract for the sugar!

Don't you have to put ice in the blender. My daughter assures me that this is most important.
Thanks.

 Jay (Florida) replies:
Carol, I wouldn't want to add ice with milk. The frozen bananas and strawberries should make the drink more than cold enough. If the mix isn't fluid enough, another 1/4 cup (or less) of milk should do the trick.
