STIR 'N DROP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. rolled oats
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg
3/4 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Stir together in a bowl the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and ginger. Add brown sugar and oats. Mix in thoroughly the oil, milk and egg. Stir in chopped nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 3 dozen.
