CINNAMON-CHOCOLATE SQUARES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1 egg white, slightly beaten
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped

Sift together flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon. Add butter, whole egg and egg yolk. Blend well on low speed. Turn into greased 11 x 7 x 3/4-inch pan. Spread evenly with back of a spoon. Beat egg white slightly. Brush white over mixture with a pastry brush. Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, chocolate pieces and nuts. Sprinkle over top.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares.

Makes 3 dozen.
