1 fresh ginger root, split
3 sticks of cinnamon
16 whole cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 to 2 tbsp. pickling spice

Add dry ingredients to 1 quart of water and simmer on your stove. This makes your whole house smell just like Christmas.
