1 fresh ginger root, split
3 pieces stick cinnamon
16 whole cloves
1 tsp. whole allspice
2 tbsp. pickling spice

Tie all ingredients in cheesecloth; add to one quart water in saucepan and simmer. Fills house with wonderful fragrance. Makes lovely gift.
