OYSTER STEW | |
1 pt. shucked oysters, drained 1 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. water 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped 1/4 c. fresh celery leaves, chopped 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated skim milk 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Cut oysters into quarters. Melt butter in 3 quart saucepan. Add oysters, pepper, water, onions, and celery leaves. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce. Heat slowly until it is steaming but not boiling. Makes 4 servings. |
