1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. Karo
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Put in large bowl and let stand for 4 minutes the buttermilk and soda. Add sugar, Karo and butter. Bring to a boil stage. Add pecans and vanilla. Set pan in cold water while heating. Pour into greased dish.
