BUTTERMILK PECAN CANDY | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tbsp. white corn syrup 1/2 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. pecans Cook all but vanilla and pecans in 3 quart pan or large saucepan to a soft boil stage (240 degrees). Add vanilla and pecans; beat until mixture becomes opaque and starts thickening. Rapidly drop spoonful onto wax paper. |
