CHERRY TORTE 
1 pkg. vanilla pudding
1 can thickened cherries (Thank You brand, optional)
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar

Combine flour, sugar and butter. Blend well. Pat into flat baking dish. Bake 15-20 minutes in 400 degree oven. Cool slightly.

Prepare pudding as usual. When cool, pour over above mixture in baking dish. Then spread cherries over pudding. Top with whipped cream when ready to serve.
