YORKSHIRE SALAD 
3 tbsp. molasses
6 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
2 heads lettuce, shredded
3 scallions (green onions), sliced fine

Combine molasses, vinegar and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Combine the lettuce and scallions and mix well together. Pour the dressing over it. Toss until the lettuce is well coated with the dressing. Serve cold. But not ice cold. Serves 4 to 6.
