VANILLA PUDDING 
3 1/2 c. milk, scalded
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk

Mix dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs and 1/2 cup milk. Pour into scalded milk. Return to heat and stir until it thickens. Add vanilla and butter and stir well. Chill.

NOTE: Cocoa powder or other flavorings may be added for different puddings.
