CABBAGE SOUP (Like Shoney's) 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 c. beef stock or 3 beef bouillon with 3 c. water
Croutons
10 oz. can or 1/2 lb. tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp. tomato paste
10 oz. can kidney beans
3 c. sliced cabbage
1 tsp. salt, optional
1/2 tsp. pepper
Chopped parsley

Put ground beef in glass microwave proof dish and cook in microwave oven on high power for 5 minutes. Stir several times to break up meat. Add onion, garlic and tomatoes; cook on high for another 5 minutes. Add beef stock, tomato paste and kidney beans with liquid. Cover and cook 7 minutes. Stir in cabbage, salt and pepper; cook for 5 minutes. Garnish soup with croutons and parsley. Makes 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
