MARCY'S SKI SLOPE SOUP 
1 lb. loose sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 lg. can kidney beans
2 qt. water
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
2 bay leaves
3-4 potatoes, diced
3-4 carrots, diced
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Chili powder to taste
Garlic powder to taste

Brown sausage and onions. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients except potatoes and carrots. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add potatoes and carrots and continue cooking 1/2 hour.
