HOMEMADE SUMMER SAUSAGE 
2 lbs. ground beef or venison
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
3 tbsp. Morton's Tender Quick
2 tsp. liquid smoke
1/4 tsp. onion salt

Mix together and roll in 2 sheets of tin foil. Refrigerate overnight. Next day poke holes on one side of foil and place on rack (with the drip pan underneath) and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.

AWESOME recipe!!!! Got a bunch of thumbs-up from my husband and all of his co-workers! Best on out there, in my opinion. The ONLY thing I changed was I wrapped the logs in parchment paper and then in foil...made for a nice, tight roll. Thanks for such an easy, yummy recipe!

Steve, I'd replace the 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup beer, then drink the rest while making!
