MEATBALLS AND SPAGHETTI 
4 slices dry bread
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 clove chopped garlic

Soak bread in a little water; pour off water and add remaining ingredients. Make 20 small meat balls and add to sauce. "I like to brown my meat balls first (not necessary) in 3 tablespoons olive oil."

SAUCE:

3/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove chopped garlic
1 tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 c. water
3 bay leaves

Cook sauce 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf, add meat balls, and cook 30 minutes longer. Serve over spaghetti.
