CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 stick butter
1 1/3 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cornstarch
dash of salt

Combine ingredients in double boiler and cook until thickened. Pour in baked pie shell. Top with meringue and bake in 425°F oven until brown.

Meringue:

2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tbsp. sugar

Beat until stiff peak.
