SCALLOPED CORN 
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 onion, chopped fine
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. mustard powder
1 tsp. salt
Few grains cayenne pepper
1/2 c. milk
1 c. corn
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 c. dried bread, broken in sm. pieces
2/3 c. buttered cracker crumbs

Put 2 tablespoons butter and onion in saucepan. Cook 5 minutes. Mix flour, paprika, mustard, salt, and cayenne; stir into butter and onion. Add the milk, stirring constantly. Bring to the boiling point. Stir in corn and egg yolk. Melt 1 tablespoon butter and add it to the bread crumbs. Stir into corn mixture. Put corn mixture in a buttered baking dish. Cover with cracker crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees until crumbs are light brown. Serves 4 to 6.
