PRALINES 
2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecan halves

Put sugar, milk and soda in saucepan and boil until it forms a soft ball in water. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and nuts. Beat until creamy and drop on wax paper to form patties.

Cook this in a large pan because the candy foams and runs over - also watch because this cooks to soft ball stage pretty quickly. It will turn a golden brown as it cooks.
