MICROWAVE PRALINES | |
1 lb. light brown sugar 1 c. heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp. butter 2 c. pecan halves In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar and cream. Stir well. Microwave on high 14 minutes, stirring after 7 minutes. Add butter and pecans. Microwave on high 1/2 minute - or until a few drops of mixture will form a soft ball in a cup of water. Working quickly, drop by large tablespoons, onto waxed paper. If necessary, return bowl to microwave for a few minutes to soften mixture. Let stand to harden about 30 minutes. TIPS: Do not heat mixture after soft ball test shows. Use large Pyrex measure cup for cooking. The handle makes it easy to handle in and out of the microwave. |
