MICROWAVE PRALINES
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 c. heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. pecan halves

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar and cream. Stir well. Microwave on high 14 minutes, stirring after 7 minutes. Add butter and pecans. Microwave on high 1/2 minute - or until a few drops of mixture will form a soft ball in a cup of water.

Working quickly, drop by large tablespoons, onto waxed paper. If necessary, return bowl to microwave for a few minutes to soften mixture. Let stand to harden about 30 minutes.

TIPS: Do not heat mixture after soft ball test shows. Use large Pyrex measure cup for cooking. The handle makes it easy to handle in and out of the microwave.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
