SAUSAGE - RICE CASSEROLE | |
1/2 stick butter 1 lb. loose sausage 1 green pepper 1 c. onions, diced 1 c. raw white rice 2 pkg. chicken noodle soup mix (Lipton's) 4 1/2 c. water 1 c. mushrooms Fry the sausage. Remove from pan and drain. Discard drippings, except for 2 tablespoons. Add butter and saute vegetables. Boil water; add rice and soup mixes and cook, uncovered, until water is absorbed. Add vegetables and sausage. Mix with a spatula gently. |
