MEAT AND VEGETABLE PIE 
1 lb. beef stew meat, cubed
1/4 c. Bisquick
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. paprika
1 lb. beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. water
1 c. water
1/4 c. water

In a small bowl combine Bisquick, salt, pepper and paprika mixture; reserve leftover mixture.

In skillet cook meat in hot shortening until meat is browned. Add 1/4 cup water; cover and cook over low heat about 2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat from pan. Add 1 cup water to drippings in pan.

Stir together 2 tablespoons of the reserved Bisquick mixture and 1/4 cup water. Stir into hot liquid gradually. Heat to boiling; boil and stir 1 minute. To serve, pour hot gravy over meat. Makes 4 servings.
