BANATA (MEAT AND VEGETABLE PIE)
2 (1 lb. ea.) loaves frozen prepared basic white bread dough, thawed
OR approx. 2 lb. your own recipe of bread dough
2 1/2 lb. Italian or pork sausage (or cutlets), chopped
1 bunch fresh broccoli OR 2 pkg. frozen chopped (steam or cook according to pkg. directions)
2 medium onions, chopped
1 medium can tomatoes, stewed or your favorite tomato sauce
Parmesan grated cheese
salt, pepper, oregano, basil, cooking oil

Grease 13x9x2-inch pan lightly. Line bottom of pan with half of the bread dough. Save remaining half for top covering. Brown the onion in a little oil. Separately brown the meat in oil and add seasonings to taste.

Then layer ingredients on top of bread dough starting with meat, then onion, broccoli and tomatoes (or sauce). Sprinkle with grated cheese.

Top with remaining dough and seal as you would a pie crust. Pierce top with a fork.

Bake in 375°F oven for approximately 1 hour or until crust is brown.
