MEAT AND VEGETABLE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. hamburger, chopped and browned lightly 1 med. to lg. potato, sliced 2 carrots, sliced 1 stalk celery, sliced 1 (8 oz.) can peas, drained but reserve liquid 1 can tomato soup 1 lg. onion, sliced Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Place a layer of sliced potatoes in bottom of dish. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. After potatoes add layers of carrots, onions, celery and drained peas. Again, salt and pepper to taste. Add the browned meat over top. Pour over tomato soup, which has been thinned with the liquid from the peas, over all. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. |
