PEPPER BEEF STIR-FRY
12 oz. beef sirloin steak
6 tbsp. teriyaki sauce
3 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
6 oz. pkg. frozen pea pods
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 onion, cut into eight sections
1 red pepper, cut into strips
Hot cooked rice

Partially freeze steak; thinly slice the meat across the grain into bite-size strips.

For marinade, in a medium mixing bowl, stir together teriyaki sauce, cornstarch and ground ginger. Add the steak strips; stir to coat. Marinate for 1 hour at room temperature.

Meanwhile, thaw frozen pea pods. Preheat wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. Add meat and marinade and stir-fry just until meat is brown (about 5 minutes). Add onions and stir-fry 2 minutes. Add pea pods and red pepper strips. Cover and cook mixture for 2 minutes. Serve immediately with rice. Makes 4 servings.
