TOFFEE BROWNIE BARS 
3/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour

FILLING:

1 pkg. Duncan Hines chewy fudge brownie mix - family size
1 egg
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. Crisco oil

TOPPING:

1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips, melted
3/4 c. finely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Frost crust, combine butter, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour. Spread in pan and bake 15 minutes or until golden.

For filling, prepare brownie mix following package directions. Spread on hot crust. Bake 15 minutes. Cool 30 minutes.

For topping, spread melted chocolate on brownie layer and garnish with pecans. Cool completely.

TIP: These bars may be made ahead and frozen in an airtight container for several weeks with good results.
