BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
1 1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
5 eggs, reserving 2 whites for icing
1 1/8 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. spice
3 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. blackberry jam

FROSTING:

2 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 c. water
2 c. marshmallows
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks. Mix all dry ingredients. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients. Add jam last. Bake in layers.
