PRUNE NUT BREAD | |
1 c. dried prunes, chopped 2 tsp. shredded orange peel 1 c. orange juice 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 3/4 c. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 beaten eggs 2 tbsp. salad oil 1/2 c. chopped nuts Combine prunes, orange peel and juice. Let stand 1/2 hour. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine eggs, oil and prune mixture. Add to dry ingredients, mix well. Add nuts. Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 55 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool. |
